Thanks for the info on the "final audit" right. I'm not sure how it can be a "final audit" though when the customer wasn't even contacted to verify eligibility.

When I spoke to the front desk they said the note in my record was from the accounting dept. Anyways, I left the accounting dept a message and will give them until the end of the business day to call me back before I dispute it.

I'll also keep in mind the personal e-mail tip. I usually like to use my corporate e-mail just so my personal inbox is not cluttered with travel information for business trips.
MBS is Marriott Business Services - the back office accounting for Marriott Managed hotels

Accounting didn't change your rate - someone at the hotel did - regardless if the accounting department makes the adjustment I would encourage you to speak with the GM to inform him/her that you were never made aware of the rate change and that it took place AFTER you received your final folio
