What you described sounds to me to be a perfectly typical stay. The hotel is a solid business hotel. While I understand your sentiments, I'm not sure what more they could do to wow any of us.
We're headed there a week from Sunday after a cruise since we're taking Swiss home. I understand what you are saying, San Diego, but if you look at another thread - The Best Hyatts in Europe - it is easy to understand why I have high expectations.
That said, as long as I don't expect a suite, I guess it should be fine!
