And having a go at BA, and particularly at Nicci/BA Executive Club, is altogether picking the wrong target. Why does it need "explaining"? Tesco don't want to do it the old way any more. If you shop at Tesco, you're still going to be better off. If you don't (and I generally don't), then you're not.
Globaliser, while I generally agree with what you have said (far too many people seem to think they own their miles/points, etc and also that companies are free to change their schemes, and I totally agree about these not really being questions for BA but for tesco - BA have their own credit card offerings), to be fair Frequentflyer99 didn't 'demand' to be satisfied, nor claim any 'right' to be stasified.

And we ARE perfectly free to express our disapproval, unhappyness etc and state that we are not satisfied.

Your post suggests you disapprove of complaining - or even feedback?!? Or possibly even with the highlighting of major programme devaluations?

Having said these are questions for Tesco (which they are), there is still a strong case for letting BA know when you are unhappy with a partner. Not only might it result in feedback coming through a different route to the partner, it also empowers BA (either when negotiating with Tesco, and/or when talking elsewhere).

Although putting the credit card argument to BA is a bit silly, as BA have their own credit card. What would be more sensible to say to BA is that "in light of the devaluation of the Tesco credit card as a 'non-Amex' BA miles card, have you thought of doing your own BA 'non-Amex' credit card?"
