I heard this on the news tonight and thought they were announcing G4's long anticipated announcement of Hawaii service from BLI. Looks like AS did beat them to the punch. Flown a few times the past few years out of BLI to LAS on G4 and the planes are either completely sold out or almost sold out and I'd estimate about 80% of the passengers are from Vancouver area. G4 has continued to expand in BLI and steal market share from YVR. It certainly got the attention of AS as they added non-stop BLI-LAS recently. Flights are cheap, cheap, cheap on G4, and come with the usual caveats with that, but certainly a great deal if you know going in. Factor in cheap parking and it being a very small airport, the time and cost savings are pretty attractive for a lot of people to fly out of BLI. Wonder which Hawaii city G4 will fly into? Wonder if they'll go head to head on Honolulu?
