Let me understand this a bit. We have a QUIET couple in F. Going quietly from the plane when asked to.
When asked for a good reason why they were booted off, we quote Mr Finneran as their possible behavior model?
I may be intoxicated after 1 drink. Another may be fine with 5. Do we ask for breath tests or behavioral tests?
Why if alcohol is so bad are we giving out the stuff freely everywhere in airports? We should close down all the sports bars in these places and fire all the bartenders. The OP may well be right about the race card.

One of my best trips was LH F when we went through almost the entire wine list in small doses as a tasting menu.
I think the moralizing of what others should do is uncalled for. As long as someone is quiet that is fine. What he may do when he gets upset later is not an adequate reason. If we do that we need to ask every passenger if he or she can stand the stress of travel, if he /she is prone to rage when in enclosed spaces for long times, whether he has taken his tranquilizers etc...
