I have a question about those of you who are complaining about the $20 recharge threshold. If the MTA could earn 5% on your $20, you would be out $1 per year. Isn't it worth the convenience, not to mention the time savings?
The real problem I have with the EasyPayXpress MetroCard is that, unlike a real pay-per-ride MetroCard, it doesn't work on the JFK Express or on the PATH trains. What's up with that? I use them very occasionally, but it always irks me that I have to stop and by a seperate ticket.
