- I am canceling my SPG AMEX as well. New benefits mean nothing for me. I would actually prefer getting 50% off coupons (that did not come to me for for the last two years anyway).
If the SPG is so confident about these new "exciting improvements", I would suggest keeping the old card with the old benefits and fees and introduce a new SPG Amex "Plus".
... Good offers never last forever and I have a feeling is that SPG as a whole is loosing its appeal to frequent travelers. It is sad but changes to AMEX is just another reference point.
