In response to the previous 2 posters - it relates to connection times - I have sometimes missed a tight (but legal) connection - esp if the first flight has been late by a few minutes. If there is a difference between published times vs actual arrival times, and if the posted times reflect runway landing times, that extra 15 minutes with a tight connection can make all the difference.
