I just picked the given item as a sample comparative.
Please also comment on the taxes % that would add on to the prices here.
I was going to be visiting a few places in Europe sometime in near future. I was just browsing online to see price variations for similar items in different places.
I just saw these and was a little confused. Is my maths wrong or is this for real?
Does this apply here only or in general for shopping any gadgets / electronics.
(Europe has some cool looking Gadget Gizmos - Especially when I last saw a bunch in Amsterdam)
Ikea Norway - 3400 - 428 Euro

Ikea Netherlands - 499 Euro

Sweden - 4600 kr - 487 Euro

And I thought given Ikea was swedish they would have the cheapest Ikea.. or is it that Norway has some kind of cuts?
Thoughts?
Are there different VAT rates. The IKEA prices would differ by country due to logistic issues and what country they want to have the profits so they can decided where they want to pay taxes. (If they actually pay taxes.)
Plus the prices are set so far in advance with the catalog but the local currency to Euro conversion changes daily.
