We want to go to EZE (Buenos Aires) from ORD (Chicago) on 2/7/03. To maximize miles I want to travel either MIA via DFW or ORD-LGA-JFK-EZE.

Option #1 leaves ORD at 1:30pm via DFW arrives in MIA at 8:27pm and departs for EZE at 10:15pm. MIA-EZE there are no decent seats left. Right now we are both in window seats in the exit row but in different aisles. This requires leaving work really early to make the flight.

Option #2 leaves ORD at 5pm arrives LGA at 8:11pm and departs JFK at 10:20pm for EZE. I can get exit row seats together on the JFK-EZE flight. I have never transferred from LGA to JFK. How is this done?

Miles are almost equal on either trip. There are no mileage upgrades available.
