Cairo: Egyptian Company for Airports and air navigation plan for the development of Hurghada International Airport at a total cost of up to $ 155 million.

As the Kuwaiti Al-Rai, an official source has revealed the company told him that the plan include the establishment of a new building for passengers in the Hurghada International Airport and the construction of a new runway at the airport.

The establishment of the new terminal building at the airport of Hurghada is part of the company's plan to develop Egyptian airports, adding that the cost of establishing the new building would be $ 155 million, including $ 35 million in local currency, and that the cost of the new amount to some $ 62 million, and funding will have funding locally.

He added that the total capacity of Hurghada Airport is up to 4.5 million passengers annually, and that the new building will help to increase the total capacity of the airport to about 7.5 million passengers annually.

He pointed out that the new runway will be long, about 4 kilometers and 60 meters in width and will be able to receive all types of aircraft including the new superjumbo Airbus A380.

• Building a new passenger service to international and domestic flights with a capacity of 7.5 million passengers, and the establishment of a new runway length of 4 km parallel to the runway for the current latest service aircraft.
  
• Building consists of 3 floors with a total area of about 90,000 square meters (total length of 750 meters and display 135 and a height of 20 meters), and the building provides a complete separation between departures and arrivals, and contains all the terminals and services to ensure the comfort of passengers and visitors. And the new building houses 11 gates to leave the aircraft by bridges connected directly to the gates by 9 to leave the service of aircraft by remote buses.
  
• The building houses 72 new Counter bookings for the registration of departures and baggage in addition to the counter to serve 2 large luggage, including: 18 Counter to authenticate passports of departing passengers and 16 counters to authenticate passports arriving passengers, and also includes a system of bags to contain the 6 belts to move the luggage of departing passengers, and 9 electric conveyor to receive passengers arriving baggage.
  
• 5 stages of the security control of passengers luggage, according to the latest international standards. Has been secured through a separate car to travel and access on two levels and places to wait for the number of about 115 buses and 85 cars as well as places of row buses and cars on the quay length of 325 meters of the building.
