Hello
Just wanted to add this with two (2) interesting points about my first visit to YYZ.
1)
Once we had gone through immigration and had had our passports stamped (it seems transit passengers still must enter Canada?!) we took a bus to Terminal 1. And now the interesting thing. Normally your boarding pass is looked at once at security. Here, it was not looked at once, not twice, not three times but
four times. I must admit I found this somewhat peculiar. Before going through the metal detectors they looked at it, the people at the metal detectors wanted to see it as well, and a third person wanted to see it when we exited the metal detector area. Check number four of Joseph K happened when we headed for the MLL. And actually there was a fifth check when we exited the MLL.
How anyone can call Canada a haven for terrorists I fail to see
2)
The first (well almost first) thing I did in the MLL was to try accessing FT. I failed utterly. A sign came up saying me accessing FlyerTalk was a Netnanny violation and the program terminated. I tried several times, same result. I thought parents were supposed to supervise children in the MLL (that's what the info note says) so why is a Netnanny installed? Or is this just a silent message from AC to FlyerTalkers...? Well, guess not
