Maybe I should have been more specific. Upgrade (to the best available room) is a clearly stated Diamond benefits but in actuality, Diamonds are not getting much upgrade, especially at Overseas and Park Hyatt properties. Often times, one category is all they get.

At SPG, it's the exact opposite. Overseas properties often treat Platinums exceptionally well. Though not a published benefit, many overseas properties do provide Platinums free breakfast, especially in Asia.

While my SPG suite upgrade % has been slipping, I have been upgraded to pretty much the best available room 95%+ of the time. When they were good to me back in the day, especially at W, I was batting 95% with W suite upgrades and many of them were specialty suites. These kind of upgrades seem to happen rarely, if at all, with Hyatt.

So, I didn't literally mean Hyatt gives no upgrade, but they happen far less frequently than with SPG.
