No i agree the change is going to happen(is not speculative) as a few people seem to have reported it.

I also agree that this will certainly not happen, come September you will only get 500>2.50 regardless of when your vouchers were issued.
The question is should i convert before the rate change or hope for another increased rate type promo in the future. If this lowered rate is the result of a 'strangled goose' in regards to the double miles promo, then it would be less likely that they would offer another again, or at least in the next few years.
My opinion is that BA(&/or Tesco) were hit harder than anticipated with the double miles promo. I like others was not a targetted first time converter however found a way to receive many 'doubled' miles for my vouchers. I believe that they have given out to many miles, or now have too large a Clubcard>BA market.
Some of those who converted to Air Miles are probably regretting it, even at double up, given the recent devaluation
