Interesting thought on MEX. The fares on the DEN-MEX route show it certainly could be profitable.
My gut reaction thinks feed from DEN may be pretty tough as we already have Mexicana direct, and 1-stop connections through PHX on US, LAX on UA, and SLC on DL. But, a properly timed 1-stop connection in MCI could be as convenient as the current US and DL connections.
Maybe F9 will do MEX... I just read that Mexicana may have to file for bankruptcy protection soon. Might be some opportunity there if Mexicana has to cut back on some routes. You never know.
