T5 was heaving yesterday - by far the busiest I have seen it since opening (although all the holiday punters randomly milling around may have made it feel even more crowded than it was ). Chatting with one of the ladies at the lounge entrance, she said that all long-haul flights were leaving 100% full.

Now I know that many people book summer hols a long time in advance, but given the length this saga has been dragging on, many will have done so after the dispute first reared its head, so I was cheered that Joe Public and family do not seem to have deserted BA in droves as often predicted ^
