pitz, you're throwing out costs / stats all over the place. I think you may have drank a too much of the ''poor little me'' airline kool-aid. but forums are all about opinions.
If you think AC bought the B787 to cut down on YYZ-YYC frequencies, you are sorely mistaken. Sure they might be on re-positioning flights between YYZ-YVR but the 787 makes money flying over oceans.
I thought AC might send their 787 to India but AI's recent decision to deploy their 773ER on DEL-YYZ non-stop will surely take care of that market for *A
