Are you saying you can get the whole itinerary for 30K miles? If that's the case it seems to me that's a pretty good use of miles rather than spending $2K. Of course I suppose it also depends how many miles you have in the bank or if you were planning to use them for something else along the way like a longhaul C or F seat.
Do you really need C on such short flights? If you haven't got a lot of luggage you could fly AirAsia pretty cheaply for all of those flights.
According to United, South Asia to South Asia is 30k for business class. Don't really need to fly C class but I was checking ANA tool and all the flights are available for award booking so thinking why not give it a try.
Also, I took silkAir last time around the region and hated it. SIN-RGN direct flight was one of the awful experience ever. Flight was packed so had to wait in line for 45 minutes to go to a restroom (for a flight that lasted 3 hours). And, when I decided to stay longer in Burma and tried changing the flight to later day, the agents told me all the seats are sold out for a month. That's why I'm thinking of avoiding low cost carriers like AirAsia. But if you guys think it's not really worth it, I'd take an another chance with LCC.
