We stayed over Memorial Day and the experience at California Market was truly bad. Both the server and the hostess were extremely rude both days we ate there (that is before we wised up to order room service). On the Memorial Day the manager confided in us that some of his people just called in sick like they always do on holidays, and the wait times were very long. While having lunch, we changed the table as a nicer one became available and the server canceled our order - because he thought we left (despite of our moving only to a next table!). The manager tried his best to rectify the situation, but you could see how sour labor relations were contorting customer service.
