Who did you contact and what did you need to provide? Maybe they have changed their position on this. If I could get matched it would tempt me to fly them.
I guess for me it happenned because they hv increased their frequencies from my base location CCU to 12 flts a week and my travel pattern in mostly CCU to Europe.. it may hv also helped that i flew to PRG abt 4 times last yr from CCU ( all on LH) and now EK has PRG as a new destination and hence may be promoting that..I had sent them the detailed statement of last 1 yr whic had abt 7 trips between India and Europe and all on LH.. EK flies to all these destinations and hence may hv acted in my favour..
I wrote to EK India customer care and it was routed to EK CCU sales office which spoke to me before doing it..
