This week Lizanne has been on leave and several others are "unavailable" for various reasons I don’t want to make public, but the Branch Committee is convening next Monday and we will then decide whether to call a branch meeting, depending on several things, one of which is "talks" scheduled to take place between Woodley and Walsh next week.
I seem to recall from previous missives that something like five out of the seven branch committee members were undergoing disciplinaries for gross misconduct. Of this figure, two - the branch secretary and one senior rep - have now been dismissed. Could the lack of availability of other committee members be in any way related to their disciplinaries ? Maybe this is the reason that dear Duncan is being coy about reasons. As an aside, does anyone know where a union branch committee stands if it only has two out of seven members still employed by the company ?

One last thought. The footie season starts in a week's time. Wonder how Brentford FC will feel about letting their facilities out when they have training sessions and matches planned.
