Indeed FWAAA ! I am most curious as well ! I assume this is figuring F and J bonus miles and possible the trans atlantic/pacific bonus (Eury4..etc..) ?</font>
Look at LAX-LHR for $326; three trips for just about $1,000 (even $400 for Friday night-Sunday trips); proper milk-run routing (LAX-SFO-MIA-LHR) will net about 15,500 base miles each trip; PLAT 100% bonus; 1000 booking bonus; and the EURY4 bonus of 30k miles (not supposed to happen but I got it on my L and N fares anyway). Bottom line - about 120k miles for just about $1,000. Once cent a mile (plus the runs help with status).

To the poster who paid nearly $10k for upgrades - wow! AA could sure use the cash! Good for you.
