Figured I'd bump this instead of creating a new thread.

I have a 12:35 flight out of SJO and need to return a rental car. I am curious about how difficult it will be getting to the airport (and through security/immigration, etc.) from whichever hotel we stay at.

Hotel 1 is 1:15 away (according to google), but not my first choice.
Hotel 2 is 3:35 away (according to google) is my first choice, but sounds like it would be difficult/stressful making the flight on time.

There is option 3 which is to stay 2 nights at hotel 2 and then drive to one closer to the airport.

Any ideas on what my best approach would be?
