I have had a personal card I would typically meet the 30K / year spend on. I just signed up and received the SPG Business Card (with that awsome 30K bonus for 1000 spend deal) and want to know if I start splitting my spend across these two cards...but still reach 30K in total will SPG still grant the gold status?

Amex says yes...becuase they are linked to the same SPG account...but want to confirm with the experts here.
