You may not be in a position to choose, but avoid US if you can. It's the worst USA airline.
If you can transit through JFK and if award seats are available (two very big ifs, I realize), UA has very nice business class seats on its JFK-SFO flights, all of which are three-cabin.
Another possibility if it's a legal award route and if you don't mind the extra connection is to see about going from AMS. UA sometimes has good award availability from there.
