Hi, I've got a bit of a long trip, on two tickets, this Saturday:

CGK-SIN-BKK on SQ, then transferring to JAL for BKK-NRT-JFK. I've got about a 2.5 hour layover in BKK, so could do customs and re-check bags to be safe, or just take a chance. They are both good airlines, but different alliances, and I really need my stuff when I arrive.

Is there any way I can have a better chance of them making the bag transfer correctly?
