I was excited about this bag until I saw it -- I liked everything about it including that you could attach the backpack to it when traveling and separate it when you needed your personal item and your carryon but--- two things the first is how wide it is at the wheel end -- if I remember I put a tape measure on it and it was 12 inches deep there -- I think that could be a problem fitting in the overheads. The expansion is on the top end only -- not all around -- and then the whole bag is 12 inches deep. That will not fit in the sizers which are about 10 inches.

The second thing was told to me by the salesperson -- I have no experience with this -- she said that with the squishy suitcase they have had problems with it collapsing when another item is placed on top -- it does not hold its shape as well and caves in -- to the extent not full -- I do not know if this would really be a problem but she indicated that others had complained about it on another brand.

I will really be interested in how this works in the overheads because I really liked the ability to pack it and the weight -- it looked really functional that way.

Please give feedback on that as you use it.
