Considering an EARLIER departure was being told to the passengers, I would prefer the wake up call to no notification at all. Like probably many on this forum, I time my arrival at the airport to decrease any "lollygagging" time. I want to see boarding about to start or already started when I arrive at the gate from security. Had a flight left 15 min early and I wasn't notified, well, I would've missed it!

I had the reverse happen when I was called at 3am and notified that flight was pushed back two hours. While the sleep interruption was a nuisance, setting my alarm back by two hours (for an originally scheduled 5:50am flight) more than made up for it. I was particularly well rested when arriving at said regional airport within 10 min prior to boarding and then had to put up with all the non-notified passengers who were pissed at being stranded in an airport for two hours so early in the morning!
