Yup - Dragon is an full affiliate of CX and the oneworld alliance. (Found this link by searching AA.com for "dragon air": http://www.aa.com/i18n/utility/dragonAir.jsp

As a oneworld affiliate, the miles/segments/points you earn on Dragonair will count toward AAdvantage elite status. Depending on your AAdvantage elite status level, you will enjoy the elite benefits you are accustomed to on other oneworld carriers, including priority seating, waitlist and standby priority, and lounge access.
If it's a flight with an AA flight number, it'll post within a few days. If it's a CX/KA flight number, it may take a little longer. (For me, usually within 1-2 weeks at most - but this was also a while ago. Maybe IT systems are more expedient these days.)
