I seem to have missed out on this "golden age" by about 10 years, but I am still old enough to have faint memories of regulated air travel. Based on my recollection, BOS-PHL was operated by some truly ancient birds (maybe Martin 4-0-4s). I got to fly F on occasion during the 1980s (parents joined the Eastern Weekender program). I know I was really impressed by all the bells and whistles, but it's difficult to determine to what extent that was a function of being a kid v. qualitative differences between today's F products.
