Most bids represented a 40%+ savings over rack rates. In general, a successful 3-3.5* big on Priceline is at roughly the same price as the local Motel 6.

With the relatively new 24 hour rebid rules, I generally do NOT rely much upon the two websites noted above, choosing to bid low, often real low and gradually increase.
