I am planning my honeymoon for mid-late October, and we are strongly considering going to Krabi/Khao Lak/Chiang Mai. Knowing that it is the end of the rainy season, what will the conditions be like?

Is it mostly just hard storms in the afternoon/evening, or will it be cloudy/rainy for several days straight? How rough will the ocean be at this time? When the sun is out, will there be the clear blue water that Thailand is so famous for, or will the ocean still be cloudy?
