I know it's no consolation ref your predicament, but this post did give me a chuckle as I couldn't use Asiamiles either on a LAX-EWR J class award roundtrip on AA for Sep! (Besides the choices on the non-stop pair of flights was only Y or F.) So I guess us CX MPOs have low priority on AA, too....

This might be a topic for another thread, but I wonder if CX MPOs travel AA at all? Seems to me a lot of AA folks are using their miles on CX. Anyone doing the reverse? I'm actually nervous about using a U.S. airline (lots of horror stories ref service, all the extra fees) after not doing so more than 16+ years...
