For me, it is worth being a Charter Member just to get ahead of the other diamonds on the upgrade list. I can't count how many times I've seen DMs on Q fares sitting in back, while I get my T fare upgraded, just becasue I'm Charter. And I also had 2 different GA's tell me its my Charter status that got me those T fare international upgrades into Biz Elite, too. Definitely worth it!
