As a HH Diamond I did a match for Hyatt Diamond and carried a copy of the confirmation letter until the card arrived. Carrying the letter was a good thing as my Diamond status had not been updated for the first few properties where I stayed, and the first property put me in a basic room. I still carry the card in case there is any problems.
