We know burn/earn ratios, elite qualifications, and fuel surcharges are all better on AA, but there are also other considerations - you need a H or higher booking class on a CX flight to get AA mileage, and AA miles cannot be used for upgrades on CX flights.
In addition, redemption rules change all the time. Perhaps AA will start charging fuel surcharges.

I always use two program due to fare in asia would be better with CX. Be honest, I am dropping to CX green later this year, but in return I will made EXP with AA. However, I still have quite a lot miles with CX, still need to use them all.
