The Collective Bargaining Agreement provides for commission to be paid for on board sales such as duty free and BOB. My understanding of the dispute is that the flight attendants are not earning commission on sales of Heathrow Express tickets. That is a violation of the CBA.
If management wants the flight attendants to sell these tickets without commission, the CBA needs to be amended accordingly.
I'm not disagreeing with the fact that technically, you're right. But you and I both know that to actually go down that road is throwing logic out the window.
And it once again demonstrates everything that is wrong with unions, the airline industry and increasingly the attitude in certain growing portion of the American population.
This type of thing in other industries kills economic growth and sends jobs overseas because we can't compete because we've become a culture of whiners, unionized or not. The former just makes it easier.
