The airstrip at ULN is tough. I heard that if the wind is more than 5 knots tailwind, all foreign airlines (except OM) has to be canceled. If the wind is more than 10 knots, even OM flights are canceled. This explains why OM has less cancellations than CA or KE.
When I went to ULN last time, the Mongolian travel agent advised me to fly OM rather than KE or CA because of this reason.
But I don't understand why they only let OM land when the wind is between 5-10 knots. Are the planes or pilots of OM better than those of CA and KE?
