Thanks for kind and quick replies .... I will try to transfer-check in and give them my luggage-tag

I'd really strongly suggest you don't wait until HKG to do this. You should try to get the check-in agent for your first flight to check the bag to your final destination. If you do not, there is a good chance your bag will just end up staying on the carousel in HKG long after your second flight leaves.
