This is being changed as part of the refurbishment. All rooms on levels 8 and 9 now feature the proximity-type reader, where you place a credit card thingy against a reader (ie. not slipping a card in or down).

I tend to agree. However, the atmosphere in the Conservatory bar is great, particularly when they have live music.
