So I switch today (lets say Dec 1)
it takes 10-12 weeks for the miles to show up. Hence 3 months - March 1 -
Then ATT will send to AA 1,000 per month from that point -- so I am there -
Mar - Apr - May - Jun - Jul - Aug.
But I've been on ATT since Dec 1.
Isn't that longer than 5 months?

Just wondering.

TANSTAAFL - but if you work it right, FF miles comes pretty close.
