Shanghai has its own charms and uniqueness. It is relatively young as compare to most of the Chinese cities. It does have a lot of European influence during the 19th century and earlier 20th century. I lived in the Fench quarter in the mid 90s, and thoroughly enjoyed the the European feelings. Now, the French Quarter has lost some of its charms to commercialsim, but it is still a great place to stroll around and travel photography.
