That would be true if the person said $pm, but .01 cents is 1/100 of a cent.
Many people write it correctly 1.62 cpm, there are those that forget that cents is already .01 of a dollar and just add the word cents to where dollar would be.

So .0162 cents per mile is really .000162 dollars per mile, which is incorrect. Part of math is using the proper decimal points and suffixes. Being off by a magnitude of 100 when doing math can lead to some very upset people.

So, $.000162/mile means 6173 miles/dollar. At 427 dollars, that would net 2.635 million redeemable miles. Biggreen is more correct than me...I fixed it by 1 degree of 10, and he picked up the other one.
