I'll repeat it - a 7 hour Tarmac delay is unacceptable, no matter how logical the sequence of decisions that led to it. Air Canada shoul own up to it, offer serious compensation (which, no matter how you put it, a $250 voucher is not), and count their blessings they were not in th US.
i agree tarmac for that long is not acceptable.... but if i recall the airport authority refused to get them off the plane asap..... perhaps should have asked the airport authority the permission to bus or walk them back to the terminal building....
