I don't much about actually redeeming BA/AA rewards, however, I know the TATL requirement is US to Europe, not NA to Europe, so I would suggest looking at ORD-YYZ-LHR-CDG with the ORD-YYZ segment on AA to get north of the border, then fly BA rest of the way. May be too many stops for you, but just my suggestion.
