I'm probably not the only one who finds priority boarding to be the perk of least interest. The zone hierarchy is almost meaningless to me given that seats are already assigned. Why is boarding order so important?
Because now it's a fight for overhead space. And boarding order is 'supposed' to avoid creating a line in the jetway, which still sometimes happens anyway from people boarding out of zone and holding up people needing to go to the back of the plane.
