1st IHG hotel in Shenzhen

This is the very first hotel in Shenzhen I guess opened on 1998 or 1999.
With years came by, the hotel now is very tired and old, cannot remember when they ever did any refurb but my stay a few weeks ago reminds me 20th century.
Most rooms are fine for stay but again, very old style room with VERY hard bed (as hard as bed at most local market Chinese hotel).
There are many resturants and grocey stores around the area, kind of convenient and much better then 10 year ago. However, the major problem for this hotel is traffic.
I would only recommand you stay there only if you visit Shekou area. There are only two North-South bound road exit this area and sometimes it will even take almost an hour to reach nearby overseas chinese town (only a few km away) due to traffice or small traffic accident.
Not really recommand but since this hotel cost around CNY 400- CNY 600/night. Without any corporate rate, I really don't think this is a good deal.
