If I recall correctly, there are signs in the MLL saying that flight announcement are not made. If it is made, then it's a courtesy. I continue to stand by my viewpoint that if you travel enough to be an Elite or SuperElite then you should know when you should arrive at the gate instead of waiting for someone to tell you. If the flight was delayed and they didn't notify you, then it's a different story.
