Does anyone know the logic behind this (if any exists) and is there anything I can get to get us all in FIRST together as we have "paid" for it?????

1. They hope they can still sell seats in those cabins so they don't want to fill up seats with non rev too early.
2. If they always do this when its empty, then there is no incentive for anyone to buy first class. Book early enough and the cabin will always be empty so you can always get an upgrade.
3. If first class or club is always filled up with people on freebies and upgrades, that lessens the reason for people to pay money for those seats. Why pay if everyone else gets it for free?
Also you cant tell if CW is empty by looking at the seat map, because if people haven't paid the extra for selecting a seat, so all seats will be free when you look at the seat allocation map. In theory CW could be oversold and still show 100% free seats when you try to book one, because you can select any one.
And I don't understand what you mean when you say you have "paid" for it, self evidently, you haven't? This false sense of entitlement can lead to people behaving like
this maybe an extreme case, but unless I missed something, you didn't pay for first class so I'm not sure why you seem to believe you are entitled to it?
