this is what i thought too. weren't they able to survive without the fees till the 9/11 events affected them so much? all these week on npr i keep hearing about these massive, massive profits. i want them to make money, i just want to be able to not have to pay for bags all the time. i mean first they say 50lbs is the limit for safety reasons, down from 70lbs. are they going to go to 40 lbs next?
